On the menu this Christmas in Marbella

Since its opening in the summer, El Club has distinguished itself for its fine cuisine. But this Christmas, the restaurant has pulled out all the stops with foodie feasts on the key dates of Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and the Three Kings.

Christmas Day menu

On the 25 December, El Club combines traditional British with the best of Andalusian produce, reflecting the cosmopolitan nature of Christmas in Marbella. Diners can enjoy the famous white prawns from Huelva with a glass of fino sherry for starters before moving on to the very British roast turkey with all the trimmings. New Year’s Eve Gala Party

As is traditional, Rio Real celebrates the New Year in style and this year is no exception. To celebrate the arrival of a brand-new decade – we are after all about to enter 2020 – diners can feast on several seafood dishes. King prawn carpaccio, lobster and scallops in green curry start the menu before moving into the star dish – Retinta beef sirloin. No festive meal would be complete without some Spanish turron (nougat) and at El Club, it’s turron bavarois to finish.
Champagne, wine and cava flow on this very special evening and diners at El Club get a party pack. This includes of course the 12 lucky grapes to ensure 2020 gets off to the best possible start.

Three Kings

One of the most important dates in the Spanish Christmas calendar is 6th January, Three Kings Day. This family occasion also has a special menu at the Rio Real restaurant. It includes cream of spinach soup with crispy bacon, egg and Montes de Trujillo cheese, and seabream with roast squash and faux risotto for mains. Dessert could only be the traditional Three Kings’ Cake and it makes the perfect end to dining at Christmas in Marbella.
