FINE DINING AT MARBELLA LUXURY WEEKEND

Marbella Luxury Weekend is just a couple of weeks away and this year’s edition comes with some seriously fine dining. Top restaurants in Marbella have created exclusive, one-off menus for the event, perfect for trying some of the best cuisine in Spain. Read on to find out how to dine at these luxury dining tables.

As well as great weather and stunning surroundings, Marbella also excels at cooking. The resort boasts no less than five Michelin stars, one of the highest concentrations in Spain. The best chefs in town – four with Michelin awards to their name and two others – have created unique tasting menus especially for Marbella Luxury Weekend.

Where to fine dine

Held over three days between 2 and 4 June, Marbella Luxury Weekend aims to offer exclusive experiences plus a taste of the very best on offer in the resort. This naturally includes cuisine at its highest level at the hands of Marbella’s top chefs.

Six restaurants are participating in the tasting menus during the weekend. They include Dani García, the holder of two Michelin stars and owner of perhaps the most famous restaurant in Marbella and El Lago, Messina and Skina with one star each. The four are joined by 1870 and Takumi.

Pop-up menus

As well as expensive, luxury should be exclusive, limited in time. The special Marbella Luxury Weekend tasting menus certainly combine the two. Created to be served only over the three days, the menus offer between 7 and 15 dishes, and cost from €65 to €160 per person.

What you’ll find on the menu varies hugely, although all the tasting dishes put the emphasis on local produce – fresh fish and seafood, fruit and vegetables, locally-sourced meat, etc. Expect to see house specials and signature dishes on the menu too. Dani Garcia’s Gazpacho Cherry Mary will be making an appearance as will El Lago’s white prawn ravioli. There’ll also be some surprises – Messina is preparing a watermelon cerviche and 1870 is concocting a special Marbella Luxury Weekend Mojito.

Book your table

The special tasting menus might be one-offs, a once in a gourmet lifetime experience, but at least you can book a table to enjoy yours. All participating restaurants in Marbella are open for bookings via their websites. Our only advice? Don’t wait too long to book!

The perfect combination

Combine a gourmet tasting menu at Marbella Luxury Weekend with a round of golf at one of the most iconic golf courses in Marbella. Book your round at Rio Real Golf where tradition was founded in 1965.
